Job Summary
Latch and guide tubing, rods, or casing into or out of the wellbore from the derrick platform while operating elevators and tongs to handle tubulars. Maintain the crown, monkey board, and derrick platform; inspect and secure fall protection equipment; and clean tools and equipment used on the rig floor. Assist Floorhands and the Operator during well servicing activities, including rig-up, rig-down, and snubbing or fishing operations as required. Communicate effectively with ground crew and adhere strictly to safety protocols, PPE usage, and OSHA guidelines. Work irregular hours including nights and weekends in outdoor conditions with exposure to extreme weather, noise, and potential hazards. Travel locally between job sites with occasional out-of-area trips.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma, equivalency or equivalent experience
- Valid Driver's License
- Must have a current valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record
- Prior experience working on a workover or well service rig
- Must be able to perform the following physical activity on a frequent to constant basis: Stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to perform the following physical activity on a frequent to constant basis: Lift 50–70 lbs. with or without assistance
- Must be able to perform the following physical activity on a frequent to constant basis: Able to quickly move hands, hands together with arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects
- Must be able to perform the following physical activity on a frequent to constant basis: Coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying down
- Must be able to perform the following physical activity on a frequent to constant basis: Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials
- Must be able to perform the following physical activity on a frequent to constant basis: Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information through verbal communications in person or detect objects in and around job site
- Must be able to perform the following physical activity on a frequent to constant basis: Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents; operate various types of machinery and handheld equipment
- Must be able to perform the following physical activity on a frequent to constant basis: Walk moderate distances on slippery, even, and/or uneven surfaces
- Must be able to perform the following physical activity on a frequent to constant basis: Stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, turn, or crawl
- Must be able to perform the following physical activity on a frequent to constant basis: Climb and balance on stairs, metal/wooden beams, ladders, or other structures/elevated areas
- Must be able to: Follow all applicable company, state and federal safety and environmental rules and regulations in assigned areas
- Must be able to: Adhere to and perform functions according to company and OSHA safety guidelines
- Must be able to: Work in a cooperative team environment
- Must be able to: Maintain clean and orderly work area

- Prior experience working on a workover or well service rig (3+ years preferred)
