Job Summary
Conduct GIS analyses for battery storage projects using QGIS, including cadastral evaluations, elevation profiles, and site assessments. Prepare and review project documentation for permitting procedures, such as BImSchG applications and grid connection requests. Research land availability, ownership structures, and planning frameworks while tracking deadlines and coordinating with internal teams. Follow up on meetings with stakeholders and authorities to support project readiness.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled student in a relevant field of study (e.g. geography, environmental science, spatial/urban planning, renewable energy, industrial engineering, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with QGIS or comparable GIS software
- Fluent German and very good English knowledge
Desired Qualifications
- Some experience with, or strong interest in, project development or project management, ideally in renewable energy or infrastructure
- Basic understanding of energy-sector and/or planning-law fundamentals (e.g. grid connection, permitting procedures)
