Job Summary
Prepare and harmonize business datasets for management reporting, including cleaning, validation, structuring, and maintenance of large sets. Create and maintain Excel-based processing solutions using advanced formulas and pivot tables while conducting data quality checks to ensure reliable reporting. Document data processing logic and business rules, and support Python-based solutions for data preparation and validation workflows. Analyze pharmaceutical market developments, competitive dynamics, and business performance trends. This six-month working student role is based in Bad Homburg with remote work options and on-site presence required.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Bachelor or Master student in Data Science, Computer Science, Informatics, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Fluent English language skills, written and spoken
- Strong skills, in standard PC applications, in particular MS Excel and MS Teams. This includes building and handling of pivot tables, formulas and data validation techniques
- First practical experience with Python for data processing, automation, or data analysis through university projects, internships, or personal projects
- Interest in working with large and complex datasets
- Basic understanding of pharmaceutical market and product concepts (drug formats, concept of generic drugs/biosimilars)
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Regular on-site presence required
Desired Qualifications
- German is a plus
- Experience with Power BI, Power Query, Azure Synapse, or PySpark is desirable but not mandatory
- Experience with healthcare market data (IQVIA or comparable vendors) is an advantage
