Job Summary
Working Student or Intern to ship production-ready features across frontend, backend, or full-stack using React/TypeScript and backend languages (Java, Go, Rust, Python, Node.js). Participate in designing robust APIs, data pipelines (Kafka, ClickHouse), and contribute to a modular UI component library. Flexible project scope from core alerting logic to integrations (Slack, MS Teams, Jira) and AI-powered SRE features. Hybrid role based in Cologne with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote; 16–20 hours/week for 3–6 months. Strict emphasis on testing, code quality, and scalability with mentorship from experienced engineers.
Required Qualifications
- Current Student: Enrolled in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Informatics, or a related technical field
- Hands-on experience with React/TypeScript on the frontend and/or a backend language like Java, Go, Rust, Python, or Node.js
- Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and how web applications fit together (APIs, databases, Git)
- Engineering mindset and eagerness to learn how a professional SaaS product is built, tested, and deployed at scale
- Bonus points for side projects, open source, or anything shipped (backend, frontend, or AI)
- Fluent English (working language)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with React/TypeScript on frontend

- Familiarity with APIs, databases, and Git
- Exposure to distributed systems (e.g., Kafka, ClickHouse) is a plus
