Job Summary
Working Student in Graphic Design & Visual Communication join RWEST’s Corporate Communications & Events team in Essen for a part-time, fixed-term (6+ months) role. Create high-quality visual assets for digital and print, develop concepts for internal channels and national/international trade fairs, perform image editing, and manage multiple requests to maintain consistent design across stakeholders. Requirements include currently studying graphic/communication design or a related field, strong Adobe Creative Suite skills (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), a keen eye for design, excellent German and English, and a collaborative mindset. Advantageous but not required: motion design/video editing, content creation and visual storytelling, experience with corporate design guidelines. Flexible arrangements are welcomed; the position is based in Essen with in-person collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Currently studying graphic design, communication design or a comparable field
- Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Keen eye for design, high level of creativity, meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent German and English skills
- Reliable, proactive and committed — ownership, decision-making and delivering quality under tight deadlines
- Collaborative and curious — teamwork and feedback oriented — #TeamRWE
- Experience with motion design or basic video editing (advantageous)
- Familiarity with content creation and visual storytelling (advantageous)
- Initial experience with corporate design guidelines or in a corporate environment (advantageous)
