Job Summary
Working student role in SAP HANA Cloud Infrastructure to learn and support Terraform-based automated provisioning across AWS/Azure/GCP, contribute to automation of Kubernetes cluster build-out at scale, extend Python and Go CLI tools, and explore AI-enabled automation of infrastructure processes. You will be mentored by experienced developers, with flexible hours up to 20 hours/week during the semester (and up to 40 hours in breaks). Requires current university enrollment in computer science or related field, basic Python/Go, cloud platform familiarity (AWS/Azure/GCP), Terraform IaC experience; Kubernetes, Docker, and AI-coding tools are a plus. Office-based in Berlin; English proficiency required; application documents include cover letter, resume, transcripts, enrollment certificate, degrees, and references. The role is part-time and paid as a working student within SAP’s DBClI unit, focused on cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled at a university or university of applied sciences in computer science, information systems, or a related field
- Basic programming knowledge - preferably Python or Go
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience in Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks like Terraform
- Bonus: Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Cline, Claude Code) or agentic AI
- Curiosity, willingness to ask questions, and a collaborative mindset
- (Very) good English language skills
- Working from the office in Berlin is required
