Job Summary
Support design of a new tracker for surgical navigation software; study existing Computer Vision marker designs, such as ArUco Markers; design and execute parameter studies to evaluate the impact of design choices; collect data and train detection models based on the new design; conduct accuracy tests using novel tracking technologies for surgical navigation; develop and maintain scripts and tools using Python; analyze test results and contribute to the improvement of tracking robustness and accuracy; collaborate with software engineers, robotics experts, and clinical stakeholders in an agile Scrum environment.
Required Qualifications
- Enrolled in a Master’s program in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field
- Programming skills in Python, PyTorch, OpenCV
- Proficient in software development: prototyping, coding, documentation
- A deep understanding of computer vision algorithms, deep learning technology, and image processing knowledge
- Experience using computer vision algorithms, training and validating deep Neural Networks
