Job Summary
Oversee and direct operations of an aggregates mining crew including personnel, equipment, trucking and materials. Lead and supervise crew to ensure proper resource placement, complete daily reporting, and maintain comprehensive job records (schedules, progress, payroll, equipment, safety inspections). Maintain strong customer and supplier relationships, coordinate labor needs through the Plant Manager, and conduct weekly safety toolbox talks and internal safety inspections to enforce policies. Collaborate with Quality Control to meet specifications, establish field calculations and communicate cost yields, and track fuel usage and equipment hour/mileage reporting. Requires willingness to travel and work nights/weekends as needed; must adhere to safety procedures and company policies; capable of developing subordinates and guiding performance through coaching and delegation.
Required Qualifications
- Three to five years related experience and/or training
- Proficient with Windows, Excel, and Word
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of the organization
- Willingness to travel and work nights and weekends when necessary
