Job Summary
Supervise, coordinate, and perform installation, testing, repair, operation, and maintenance of electrical equipment and associated facilities. Plan, schedule, and supervise Division Electricians while training subordinates in proper methods and practices. Prepare department records, review substation inspection sheets, and initiate corrective action. Maintain stock of parts, oversee switching on distribution systems, and order materials, tools, and equipment. Interpret company policies, implement safety rules, appraise employees, and recommend promotions or disciplinary action. Analyze operational methods to develop improved procedures and work effectively with superiors, departments, and vendors. Requires high school diploma, three years of electrician experience, and a valid driver's license. Must be available for emergency restoration assignments and travel between MA/CT/NH. Salary is $57.70 hourly plus incentive.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an Electrician
- Motor Vehicle Driver's License
- Ability to communicate effectively, including being able to follow detailed written instructions
- Ability to perform basic math functions
- Proven safe driving record
- Ability to work alone and be self-directed
- Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required
- Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary
- Ability to implement environmental and safety procedures
- Ability to train others
- Ability to participate on teams or committees to help improve processes
Desired Qualifications
- Previous supervisory experience and/or technical direction of others
- Computer experience including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to analyze operational methods and develop improved procedures as needed
- Ability to interpret Company policies, procedures and practices
