Workforce Specialist

Job Summary
Provide wrap-around case management, career coaching, and financial education to individuals and families in need through the St. Rita program. Collaborate as part of the Workforce team to strengthen participants through holistic education and employment support. Develop individualized plans, assess needs, connect clients with internal/external resources, and monitor progress via weekly contact and occasional home visits. Deliver job readiness and work ethics classes, coordinate workshops, and maintain detailed records for internal and grant reporting. Build relationships with educational institutions, employers, and community partners, and represent the program in presentations and information sessions. Train, educate, and coordinate staff, volunteers, and interns on Workforce-related policies and practices; perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in social work, workforce development, human services, or comparable experience required
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and respect people from a variety of backgrounds
- Experience in providing case management services and managing own caseload
- Must have competent oral and written English skills
- Must be reliable, punctual, professional, and able to work independently
- Strong organizational skills and experience managing data in programs such as Microsoft Excel or Access, or Google Docs
- Ability to interact effectively with outside agencies and advocate on behalf of clients
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local and regional travel
- VIRTUS training, background screening, drug testing, and ongoing trainings as required
