Job Summary
Serve as the regional technical focal point for Strategic Workforce Planning and Organizational Alignment Reviews, supporting Country Offices in the assigned region. Conduct workforce analysis using available data, planning systems, and stakeholder inputs to assess current composition, skills, and future demand. Analyze Country Office organizational structures and develop design options informed by planning findings. Translate analysis into clear insights and practical recommendations to inform discussions with Country Office management and senior stakeholders. Support the development of workforce plans responding to short-, medium-, and long-term needs, including key actions and resource implications. Facilitate engagement with Country Offices, Regional Offices, HQ, and functional experts to ensure operational realities are reflected. Coordinate the collection, validation, and presentation of workforce data while maintaining quality and privacy standards. Monitor the implementation of workforce plans and structural review recommendations, supporting follow-up and adjustments as priorities evolve. Contribute to the continuous improvement of Strategic Workforce Planning practice across WFP.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced university degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology, Business or Public Administration, Economics, Data Analytics, Social Sciences or another relevant field
- A first-level university degree with additional relevant experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HR management
- At least 3 years of experience in Strategic Workforce Planning, Organizational Design or HR consulting
- Excellent analytical, communication and project management skills
- At least 3 years of international experience either working abroad or in an international environment, as part of a multicultural team
- Strong understanding of strategic workforce planning, organizational design and/or HR advisory work, preferably in complex or international organizations
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work with workforce data and stakeholder input, identify patterns and translate findings into clear insights
- Strong planning, problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing operational needs
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to work with HR, functional experts, Country Office management and senior stakeholders across cultures and organizational levels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent command of English, fluency (level C) in oral and written English
- Fluency in Spanish
- Ability to travel mainly within countries in the assigned region and others, as required
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of data visualization platforms and AI-enabled productivity or analytics tools is an asset
- Knowledge of another UN language is an asset
