Job Summary
Operate multi-passenger vehicles to safely transport individuals with disabilities to job sites and other destinations, assisting passengers with entering and exiting and securing wheelchairs. Perform pre-departure vehicle inspections and report mechanical issues, while communicating with dispatch and maintaining accurate logs. Requires a valid CDL with PAX endorsement, CPR/First Aid certification, and ability to work non-traditional hours or split shifts. This role supports PRIDE Industries' mission to create jobs for people with disabilities by providing high-quality transportation solutions nationwide.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Meet driving qualifications as defined by PRIDE Industries
- Ability to operate passenger vehicle in accordance with a schedule
- Ability to communicate effectively including listening, verbal, and written
- Demonstrate ability to apply critical thinking to identify solutions to problems
- Demonstrate basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to manage competing priorities and exercise flexibility
- High School Diploma or GED
- CPR/First Aid
- Valid CDL w/PAX ED
- Ability to bend, stooping, reaching to maneuver passengers' wheelchairs into safety restraints
- Ability to lift, pushing and pulling up to 35 pounds
- Ability to enter and exit the vehicle
- Non-traditional hours and/or split shifts
