Workforce Electrical Apprenticeship Instructor (Part-Time)

Job Summary

Teach the Idaho Electrical Code and deliver Mike Holt's curriculum to apprentices via monthly Zoom sessions, managing class operations including attendance, grading, and student communication. Stay current on code advances and field developments while preparing students for the journeyman exam. Serve as an ambassador for the program, support students in meeting course objectives, and offer suggestions for improvements. Commit to a 24-week term with bi-weekly one-hour sessions, attend advisory committee meetings, and complete required instructor training.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Journeyman or Master Electrician license
  • Minimum of 2 years' work experience as a Journeyman Electrician with some supervisory experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, email, and internet use
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet training goals

Desired Qualifications

  • Teaching or training experience preferred
