Job Summary
Workforce Development Specialist supports Veterans through the Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program by conducting client assessments, developing individualized employment plans, providing job-readiness training, career counseling, and job placement assistance; collaborates with local employers, conducts outreach at partner sites and community events, maintains records, and ensures grant compliance. Requires field-based outreach, travel to partner sites and shelters, association with veterans services, and strong communication and organizational skills. Associate’s degree (or relevant experience) and 2+ years in workforce development are preferred; hourly pay $23–$25 with benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in social work, human services, counseling, or related field (or relevant experience)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in workforce development, employment services, or related field
- Experience working with veterans or homeless populations preferred
Additional Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation and use of a personal vehicle; mileage reimbursement provided
