Job Summary
Direct supervision of hourly Donated Goods/Retail employees, delegating assignments, coaching staff, and holding team members accountable for best practices and standard operating procedures. Evaluate performance, develop goals, and implement corrective action while ensuring compliance with training, policies, and ethical codes. Foster professional growth by incorporating Journey Maps to track career progress, assist employees in overcoming barriers, and provide job coaching and crisis intervention. Conduct one-on-one meetings, job site visits, and educational in-services, while reviewing resumes, interviews, and hiring decisions for vacant staff positions. Complete daily case notes, analyze career plans, and implement new workforce development methods based on statistical documentation. Travel regularly to various worksites, including weekend evening hours, to support agency-wide goals and build trust across departments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services, or related field
- 2 years of full-time paid employment providing services to persons
- 3 years related full-time paid experience in Human Services or Retail
- Management experience
- A master's degree in Human Services or related field
- Experience in goal writing, monitoring and assessing
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to make business, social, or civic contacts
- Computer proficiency
- Strong coaching, mentoring, and performance development background
- Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
- Ability to maintain appropriate boundaries and professionalism
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Crisis intervention or behavioral support experience
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license
- Automobile insurance
