Job Summary

Serve as the chief administrative and strategic leader for the Workforce Development Board, overseeing federal, state, and local workforce programs. Act as the primary liaison between the Board, state officials, elected leaders, and North Central Missouri College while managing staff in alignment with college policies. Develop and implement the Local Region's Workforce Development Plan, coordinate board meetings, and oversee procurement and contract oversight for service providers. Manage budgets, ensure regulatory compliance, and monitor program outcomes to maintain high performance. Create relationships with regional employers to increase public workforce system utilization and advocate for rural workforce development needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Managing personnel in state-related programs
  • Experience working with volunteer Boards
  • Following and implementing federal/state regulations
  • Forward thinking
  • Ability to support a vision by strategically working with many different types of groups
  • Formulate consensus from many expressed viewpoints
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Communication skills
  • Ability to manage personnel
  • High degree of integrity and confidentiality
  • Moving about in buildings and on the NCMC campuses
  • Reaching, pulling, and pushing when performing office duties
  • Remain stationary at a desk for extended periods while working on a computer and answering phones
  • Traveling in a car from one location to another
  • Ascending and descending stairs
  • Able to do repetitive tasks
  • Fluctuations while moving on tile and carpeted floors in a heated and air-conditioned environment

Desired Qualifications

  • Multiple years of experience which must include a combination of managing personnel in state-related programs
  • Experience working with volunteer Boards
  • Following and implementing federal/state regulations
