Job Summary

Manage daily operations of the Workforce Center and related workforce programs while ensuring compliance with program requirements. Inform the manager of customer flow to recommend staff allocation for timely service delivery. Analyze performance data to drive process and service delivery improvements against benchmarks. Assess staff for professional development and provide training to maintain high customer service standards. Handle stressful situations with difficult customers and resolve challenges through critical thinking and effective communication. Requires valid driver's license, ability to relocate within the service area, and bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred. Flexible hours may be required.

Required Qualifications

  • Knowledge of workforce development, economic development, business intelligence and trends, and project management
  • Knowledge of effective management techniques and practices to include planning, strategy development and implementation, assessment of outcomes and accountability
  • Knowledge of effective case management and counseling
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, technology, and computer skills
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively handle or resolve stressful or challenging situations with difficult customers
  • Is sensitive to customer needs and feelings and demonstrates concern for others
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Organizational skill
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to analyze and interpret information and data and provide relevant feedback for action
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, Board staff, and the public
  • Ability to develop strategies and solutions
  • Associates or Undergraduate degree in a relevant field of study
  • Three (3) years of relevant experience, to include one (1) year of supervisory experience
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance with good driving record
  • Ability to relocate within the service delivery area
