Workforce Case Manager

Job Summary

Engage participants in interactive screening to identify needs, barriers, and goals, then develop Customized Employment Plans (CEPs) and Recovery to Work Plans (RTWs). Conduct regular meetings to provide support and motivation, placing job seekers into appropriate employment pathways based on their aptitude. Utilize financial support services and enrichment workshops to help individuals overcome barriers and obtain good-paying careers. Input all required client data into the case management system regularly while engaging in community outreach to inform partners of services. This role operates on a full-time compressed workweek with 14 paid holidays from day one, two weeks vacation after 90 days, and 40 hours of sick time. Based at the primary location with flexibility to work out of alternate PDC offices in Youngstown, Salem, or Warren.

Required Qualifications

  • Willingness to work out of alternate PDC offices (Youngstown/Salem/Warren)
  • Ability to engage participants in the interactive screening process to identify needs, barriers, and goals
  • Ability to develop effective Customized Employment Plans (CEPs) and/or Recovery to Work Plans (RTWs)
  • Ability to conduct regular meetings with participants to provide support and motivation
  • Ability to place job seekers in appropriate employment pathway according to their aptitude
  • Ability to utilize all PDC employment pathways as needed to help job seekers develop needed technical and life skills
  • Ability to effectively place job seekers into PDC's enrichment/educational workshops
  • Ability to effectively utilize financial support services to help job seekers overcome employment barriers
  • Ability to ensure that participants have successfully overcome initial barriers and are prepared to be placed into the employment pool
  • Ability to input all required information and client data into PDC's case management system regularly and by due dates
  • Ability to engage in community outreach to inform participants and partners of services provided by the PDC
