Workforce Absence Team Lead - Coding Team

Job Summary
Supervise multiple teams of examiners and technical staff for disability claims, delegating duties and monitoring workload to ensure compliance with audit and service contract requirements. Provide technical and jurisdictional direction on claims adjudication, review reserve amounts for high-cost claims, and act as the second level of appeal for client and claimant issues. Compile and analyze management reports to identify trends, coordinate process improvements, and maintain accurate diaries for complex or high-exposure claims. Ensure claims files are coded correctly and that direct reports hold proper jurisdictional licenses.
Required Qualifications
- Six (6) years of claims experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Licenses as required
- Thorough knowledge of claims management procedures and processes for disability
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
- Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
- Travel as required
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Professional certifications as applicable to line of business
- Two (2) years of claims supervisory experience
