Job Summary
Entry-level Workers’ Compensation Specialist I handles injury intake, incident reporting, and initial claim setup support. Responsible for accurately capturing incident details, ensuring timely reporting, and maintaining organized documentation to support claims processing; collaborates with the Workers’ Compensation Specialist II to position claims for coordination and compliance tracking. Supports high-volume intake and adheres to established reporting procedures within the Workers’ Compensation program. Requires on-call availability and the ability to work remotely when responding to on-call duties. Focus areas include injury intake calls, data entry into Riskonnect, document management, and follow-up to ensure complete intake and filing of initial claim records.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0–2 years of administrative, customer service, or related experience
- Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
- Ability to manage high-volume tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, email systems)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
