Job Summary
The Workers’ Compensation Administrator is responsible for managing and administering Goodwill’s workers’ compensation program with emphasis on timely reporting, regulatory compliance, effective case management, and clear communication with employees, supervisors, medical providers, and insurers. Key duties include processing, recording, and investigating claims; submitting required documentation to carriers, OSHA, and state agencies; maintaining claim files and medical reports; serving as the primary liaison among employees, supervisors, insurance representatives, medical providers, and attorneys; providing updates on claim status, hearings, restrictions, and return-to-work plans; coordinating modified duty and return-to-work programs; ensuring OSHA compliance and preparing logs, trend reports, and safety dashboards; identifying injury patterns and recommending prevention strategies; collaborating with Safety and HR on injury prevention initiatives; and performing other duties as assigned. Preferred education is a Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Safety, or related field, with 1–3 years of relevant experience and strong knowledge of Florida workers’ compensation laws and OSHA reporting. The role emphasizes analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication (oral and written), ethics, planning/organization, professionalism, quality, quantity, safety and security, attendance/punctuality, dependability, initiative, and ability to interpret safety-related documents; physical demands are described for on-site work in a typical office environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (HR, Business, Safety, or related field)
- 1–3 years of workers’ compensation, claims, HR, or safety experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of Florida workers’ compensation laws and OSHA reporting
- Excellent communication, documentation, and follow up skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
