Job Summary
Conduct detailed analysis of legal entities by identifying exposures, completing loss analysis, and assigning workers compensation classification codes to determine appropriate pricing within provided authority levels. Establish a disciplined approach to review and manage risk with the ultimate objective of approving profitable business. Develop effective relationships with colleagues to collaborate throughout the WC review process and present workers compensation business for approval by the insurance carrier. Provide consultative advice to management on WC Pricing guidelines, standards, and procedures. Complies with all policies and standards while building consensus between Sales and WC Pricing Team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience underwriting workers compensation
Desired Qualifications
- experience utilizing Salesforce or similar platform
- experience with the Professional Employer Organization business model
- AINS or AU
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization
- Strong knowledge and understanding of workers compensation pricing/rating
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to build consensus between Sales and WC Pricing Team
- A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, constantly-evolving business and work environment while prioritizing multiple priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
