Job Summary

Manage a high volume of workers' compensation cases by tracking deadlines, maintaining organized case files, and ensuring all relevant documents are current and properly filed. Prepare, file, and maintain legal documents including petitions, applications, medical records, motions, and subpoenas. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, updating them on case progress, gathering necessary information, and responding to their questions under attorney guidance. Collect, organize, and review medical records, bills, and supporting documents for case preparation. Conduct research on relevant laws and regulations, including updates on workers' compensation statutes and procedural changes in Maryland. Schedule appointments, hearings, and meetings, and coordinate with opposing counsel, medical providers, and clients. Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and other necessary materials for hearings or trials.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal in workers' compensation or personal injury law
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient in legal research databases and case management software
  • Strong computer skills, particularly with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
