Job Summary

Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, and complaints; E-file all court documents in state and federal court. Conduct legal research and factual investigation while drafting and serving summons. Coordinate depositions, prepare trial binders and exhibits, and maintain pleadings and discovery indexes. Aid attorneys with discovery requests and gather relevant information from various sources. Liaise between trial teams and third parties, assist with case settlements, and perform administrative duties such as calendar hearings and deadlines. This role supports attorneys before, during, and after trials within a leading personal injury law firm dedicated to consumer rights.

Required Qualifications

  • Must possess the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • proficient in calendaring depositions, mediations, and hearings
  • Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, and procedures, practices, etc.
  • Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Extensive computer and database expertise
  • Microsoft Word
  • Excel
  • Outlook
  • type no less than 35 wpm
  • Remote and/or hybrid not eligible

Desired Qualifications

  • Associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of litigation experience
  • Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program
  • Experience in Personal Injury, WC, Premises, or other injury related practice areas
