Job Summary
Paralegal with 5+ years in workers’ compensation sought to support counsel with document drafting and case management. Responsibilities include drafting medical record summaries, discovery responses, subpoenas, trial notebooks and settlement documents; establishing and maintaining tracking, calendaring and filing systems; researching facts; creating chronologies; pulling documents; and providing trial preparation support. Requires strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills, impeccable judgment, discretion and integrity, and proficiency with Aderant Total Office and Microsoft Office. Bilingual candidates a plus.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a paralegal in workers’ compensation
- Strong computer skills (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Experience, Client Profiles)
- Experience drafting medical record summaries, discovery responses, RTP, subpoenas, preparing trial notebooks, trial prep, and settlement documents
- Establish and maintain tracking, calendaring and filing system for legal activities and scheduling
- Support to Counsel for legal issues including fact research, creating chronologies, pulling documents, preparing summaries
- Impeccable judgment, discretion, respect and integrity
- Organized with strong attention to detail
- Familiar with Aderant Total Office (ATO)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Education: equivalent combination of education and experience a plus
- Bilingual a plus
