Workers Compensation Manager

Job Summary
Manage occupational injury and workers' compensation cases from reporting through resolution, coordinating medical treatment, referrals, and follow-up care for injured employees. Evaluate medical reports to determine work restrictions and return-to-work readiness while developing and managing return-to-work and transitional duty programs. Communicate with employees, supervisors, healthcare providers, and third-party administrators to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, workers' compensation laws, and HIPAA. Monitor claim status, costs, and injury trends to reduce duration and expenses. Participate in incident investigations, recommend corrective actions, and deliver safety and injury prevention training. Prepare reports on injury trends, claim performance, and workplace health metrics. Maintain confidential medical records and provide occupational health support, including injury assessments, first aid, and medical triage.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- COHN or COHN-S certification (or ability to obtain)
- 7+ years of occupational health nursing or workers' compensation case management experience
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers' compensation laws, and manufacturing safety
- Excellent communication, documentation, and case management skills
- Experience collaborating with HR, safety teams, TPAs, and healthcare providers
Desired Qualifications
- Manufacturing or multi-site experience preferred
- Training in ergonomics, incident investigation, or safety management systems is preferred
