Job Summary
Assess new files to establish action plans, budgets, and recommendations, and identify pleading requirements while delegating tasks to paralegals. Prepare discovery responses, manage document production, and attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events to provide thorough reports. Negotiate settlements, secure authority, and prepare for trial as necessary, while maintaining regular communication with legal assistants. This lateral role requires 5-7 years of practice experience in workers' compensation defense and a portable book of business for a firm celebrating 31 years of excellence across 12 states.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years of practice experience in workers' compensation defense

- Must be licensed to practice law in Virginia
- Must be licensed to practice law in DC
- Maryland also preferred
