Job Summary

Own and manage a full caseload of workers' compensation defense files from investigation through trial for prestigious national companies and professional sports teams. Conduct depositions, attend hearings, and handle all aspects of case strategy while building client relationships under a firm bonus structure of $10/hr on originated work. Bill 225+ hours monthly with transparent bonuses of $1,000 at 225 hours plus $40/hr above that, and mentor junior associates through the WC boot camp and shadow-the-partner programs. Requires 5+ years of experience, active California Bar admission, and a commitment to WC defense as a long-term career destination.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of workers' compensation defense experience
  • Active California Bar admission
  • Ability to provide a realistic, sustainable monthly billing number (not an all-time peak)
  • Views WC defense as a long-term career destination — not a stepping stone to plaintiff work or another practice area
  • Precise total compensation expectation with clear definition (base vs. base + bonus)
