Associate Claim Representative in Auto-Owners Insurance's Workers' Compensation Claims Branch handles investigation and adjustment of workers' compensation claims, determining policy coverage, evaluating loss, and paying or denying losses. Responsibilities include reviewing medical bills, authorizing payments, handling investigations by phone, mail, and on-site; contacting employers, employees, hospitals, doctors, and attorneys; working toward claim resolution and attending arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials as needed; serving agents, policyholders, and injured workers; and developing insurance coverage knowledge through ongoing education. Initial training in-person with merit-based work-from-home program after training.
