Job Summary
Analyze and process complex workers compensation claims by investigating exposure, gathering information, and determining benefits due. Negotiate settlements within designated authority and communicate claim activity with claimants and clients. Report claims to excess carriers and respond to direction requests professionally and timely. Apply California jurisdictional knowledge and SIP requirements to adjudicate claims within service expectations and industry best practices. Leverage global expert networks to solve problems for world-class brands while maintaining a reasonable caseload in a well-managed intake environment.
Required Qualifications
- 4 years of claims management experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- California workers compensation jurisdictional knowledge
- SIP required or must be obtained within one (1) year of employment
- Clear and conceptual thinking ability
- Excellent judgment
- Troubleshooting, problem solving, analysis, and discretion
- Ability to handle work-related stress
- Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Computer keyboarding
- Hearing
- Vision
- Must reside in CA
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
