Job Summary
Analyze complex or technically difficult workers' compensation claims to determine benefits due, investigating and gathering information to assess exposure. Negotiate settlements within designated authority and communicate claim activity with claimants and clients. Process claims through action plans to timely resolution, report to excess carriers, and respond to direction requests professionally. Handle high-exposure claims involving litigation and rehabilitation while ensuring ongoing adjudication meets service expectations and industry best practices. Identify subrogation opportunities and leverage global expert networks to solve problems for world-class brands.
Required Qualifications
- Five (5) years of California Workers Compensation claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- California jurisdictional knowledge
- SIP required or must be obtained within one (1) year of start date
- Credit security clearance, confirmed via a background credit check
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Professional certification as applicable to line of business
