Job Summary
Under minimal supervision, manages all aspects of indemnity claims handling from inception to conclusion. Responsibilities include managing a caseload of 150 or fewer workers’ compensation files, initiating investigations, determining compensability of claims, managing medical treatment and billing, and communicating with claimants and vendors. Requires strong analytical skills, technical knowledge of regulations, and excellent communication abilities. The role involves settling claims, conducting independent file reviews, and adhering to company policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred)
- Three or more years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Technical knowledge of statutory regulations and medical terminology
- Analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to independently manage very complex claims
Desired Qualifications
- WC Adjuster’s license for MI & MN preferred
- Adjuster’s license for TX, FL & Indiana considered
- Proficient in Word and Excel
