Workers Compensation Claims Examiner II (Remote)

Job Summary
Manages all aspects of indemnity claims handling, overseeing a caseload of 150 or fewer workers’ compensation files. Initiates and investigates claims, determines compensability, administers benefits, and manages medical treatment and billing. Communicates with claimants, providers, and vendors to resolve claims issues and maintains documentation. Requires analytical skills, technical knowledge of regulations, and strong communication abilities, with a preference for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and proficiency in Word and Excel.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Three (3) or more years of related experience
- Technical knowledge of statutory regulations and medical terminology
- Analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact with persons at all levels in the business environment
- Ability to independently and effectively manage fairly complex claims

- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred)
- Proficient in Word and Excel (preferred)
