Job Summary
Manage a desk of workers' compensation claims from assignment through resolution, investigating coverage, liability, and exposure while evaluating claim exposure and maintaining accurate reserves. Coordinate with defense counsel on litigation activity, negotiate settlements with claimants and attorneys, and monitor medical treatment to support compliant resolution strategies. Process claim payments accurately, maintain organized documentation within the claims system, and communicate with employers, injured workers, and medical providers throughout the process. Handle lost time claims in Georgia for self-insured accounts while adhering to state statutes.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of workers' compensation claims handling experience
- Lost time workers' compensation claims experience in the state of Georgia
- Experience working with self-insured accounts
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and sound decision-making ability
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Professional and customer-focused approach when working with clients and claimants
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to learn new systems
- Adjuster licensing or ability to obtain licensing as required
- Comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership
Desired Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree
