Job Summary
Investigate, evaluate, and adjust workers' compensation claims by establishing reserves, reviewing medical and legal invoices, and negotiating settlements in accordance with corporate standards and state laws. Authorize payments, monitor subrogation claims, compute disability rates, and coordinate communication with clients, claimants, and outside vendors while maintaining personal diaries on the claim system. Provide oversight on designated files and ensure compliance with client handling instructions. This role supports injured workers and strengthens client trust as part of CCMSI's largest privately owned Third Party Administrator team, offering a hybrid schedule after initial training and a path toward supervisory leadership.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Colorado Workers' Compensation claims handling experience, including full claim investigation, evaluation, and resolution
- Responsiveness to internal and external client needs
- Must be comfortable handling multiple accounts of various types (public entity, manufacturing, and school districts)
- Experience handling indemnity claims
- Ability to prioritize competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and negotiation abilities
- Knowledge of all lower‐level claim position responsibilities
- Adjuster's license may be required based on jurisdiction
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual (Spanish) proficiency — highly valued for communicating with claimants, employers, or vendors, but not required
- Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required
- Professional designations such as AIC, ARM, or CPCU are preferred but not required
- Experience handling Utah Workers' Compensation claims
