Workers Compensation Business Development Clinical Evaluator

Job Summary
Develop and maintain relationships with the professional community to optimize the utilization of the BNN continuum of care. Provide professionals with information about hospital programs, create training opportunities, and educate insurance, case management, and medical teams. Conduct evaluations of potential patients in off-site locations and coordinate admissions with outside referral sources and funding. Initiate prospecting of new referral and funding sources while representing the program at area, regional, and national conferences. Maintain existing relationships through ongoing contacts and customer service. Requires a bachelor's degree, RN preferred, and 3-5 years of experience in specialty healthcare systems. Valid driver's license and ability to travel long distances required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience
- Knowledge of specialty healthcare systems related primarily to mental health, TBI, neuro-rehabilitation, disability, and case management practices
- Knowledge of Workers Compensation and reimbursement issues
- Competent to administer, score and interpret required psychometric instruments, conduct face-to-face evaluation with a person with a severe brain injury; and review and integrate medical and rehabilitation information for the purpose of patient assessment and admissions consideration
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to read, write, and process information accurately
- Ability to sit or stand for long period of time
- Ability to walk long distances
