Job Summary
Conduct structured training in claim handling, customer service, and policy interpretation while reviewing, investigating, and documenting Workers Compensation claims under supervision. Evaluate action plans for claim resolution, assess coverage for compensability and fraud, and gather information from policyholders, claimants, and third-party providers. Communicate claim status to all parties, maintain accurate records in management systems, and coordinate medical treatment to return injured parties to work. Complete the 12-month program to progress toward independent claims handling responsibility. Acquire and maintain a relevant Insurance License within three months of starting.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- one year of customer service experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- Previous internship or work experience in customer service or insurance
- Willingness to obtain an active adjuster license where required by state law
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgement and make effective decisions within established authority
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated openness to continuous learning
