Job Summary
Ensure all workers' compensation claim decisions are fair, evidence-based, and compliant with state legislative and regulatory requirements. Provide specialist advice to Case Managers on interpreting legislation, regulations, and internal policies while clarifying complex legal language. Operate within designated claims approval limits, maintain accurate documentation in Assure, and review quality of claims documentation to support audit compliance. Assist with challenging cases by offering insights on legal implications and potential resolutions, and foster a customer-focused approach by responding professionally to inquiries from injured team members and stakeholders. Contribute to improved return-to-work outcomes and collaborate on risk mitigation strategies within the Woolworths account.
Required Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and provide clear, evidence-based guidance
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and engage effectively across all levels
- Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in workers' compensation case management, preferably in a self-insured environment
- Previous experience in technical role supporting claims management teams
- Demonstrated experience managing complex claims and interpreting relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks
Desired Qualifications
- A qualification or certification in a health or business-related field
