Job Summary
Worker Mechanic II responsible for maintaining, installing, modifying and repairing equipment used in Filling, Compounding and R&D; provides mechanical support to the Production floor through equipment set-ups and continuous improvement projects to meet Estée Lauder's quality standards and expected line efficiencies. Responsibilities include monitoring and modifying equipment to ensure maximum productivity and quality, troubleshooting and repairs on equipment located in all serviced departments, assisting operators and fellow mechanics with challenges during set-ups, operation and troubleshooting of the equipment, maintaining the inventory of needed spare parts, training operators on technical abilities of equipment, performing installations and assisting in validation of new equipment, performing general mechanical tasks to meet both production and building needs.
Required Qualifications
- Two years college or technical school
- three years of experience in related field
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- basic mechanical/technical skills
- basic computer skills
- strong communication, problem solving and multi⁃tasking skills
- basic equipment knowledge
- display strong math skills (addition, subtraction, %ages, averages)
