Job Summary
Lead and optimize UK Workday payroll processes for Rolls-Royce, ensuring accurate, timely payroll execution in compliance with statutory UK requirements. Serve as the functional SME for UK Workday Payroll, drive standardization and best practices, manage payroll cycles and year-end activities, oversee integrations with HR/Finance systems, identify opportunities for automation, collaborate with HR, Finance, People Services and IT, and deliver training on new functionality while ensuring GDPR/data privacy compliance and rigorous audit/reporting.
Required Qualifications
- 8-10 years of expertise in Workday Payroll administration and functional configuration
- Workday Payroll certifications preferred
- Hands-on experience in UK payroll operations
- Deep understanding of UK payroll legislation, statutory reporting, and compliance requirements
- Proven experience managing payroll processes in a large or complex organization
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills
- Solid communication and stakeholder management abilities, with experience liaising between technical and non-technical teams
- Proficiency in Workday reporting and payroll integrations
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to confidentiality
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, Accounting, or related field preferred
