Workday Financials Specialist

Job Summary
Manage, maintain, and enhance Workday Financials configuration while acting as a subject matter expert to resolve queries and ensure system performance. Design and maintain reports and dashboards that translate business requirements into accurate outputs for operational and strategic decision-making. Collaborate with Finance teams, including Accounts Payable and management accountants, to provide guidance on system capability and build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business. Support Finance users with training and knowledge transfer, contribute to documentation, and provide functional input into integration design and testing. Engage in process improvement and automation initiatives, including Accounts Payable automation and AI-enabled tools, while staying current with Workday releases and participating in change activities. Occasional out-of-hours support is required to meet business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience working with Workday Financials in a configuration and support capacity
- Strong understanding of core accounting principles and how they are implemented within Workday Financials
- Strong experience in Workday Financials reporting methods, including dashboards
- Ability to translate high-level business requirements into practical system and reporting solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
- Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with Finance and senior stakeholders
- Exposure to, or working knowledge of, Workday Financials integrations
- Experience of customer and intercompany billing within Workday Financials
- Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-country financial environments
- Exposure to the Workday security model and how it is implemented within Workday Financials
- Workday Pro certifications (Financials and/or Reporting)
- Experience contributing to Finance process automation initiatives
Desired Qualifications
- Exposure to French accounting environments (useful but not essential)
