Job Summary
Manage, support, and enhance the Workday Financials environment to ensure data integrity and compliance with accounting standards. Conduct regular audits to monitor system performance, evaluate policy adherence, and recommend upgrades. Collaborate with business units and subject matter experts to drive process improvements, optimize reporting, and implement business process changes. Act as a subject matter expert by providing training, developing standard operating procedures, configuring system settings, and supporting Workday releases. This Systems Accountant role reports into the Head of Accounting within Javelin's Accounting team, which includes Tax, Risk, and Trade Finance functions. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and strong experience owning and configuring Workday Financials modules.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or related field
- Strong experience of owning & configuring workday financials, including; Revenue, Accounting, Spend & Tax
- Ability to design custom reports, calculated fields, condition rules
- Experience with maintaining Workday tenant security across functional areas
- Excellent team player who demonstrates a collaborative approach
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A self-starter who is capable of using their initiative to anticipate the information needs of the business
- Ability to interpret complex financial data and prepare comprehensive reports
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
