Job Summary
Workday Developer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining integrations between Workday and third-party systems. Role supports the full integration lifecycle—from requirements gathering, design, development, testing (including UAT), and deployment—under guidance from senior developers. Focus on executing defined tasks, troubleshooting integration issues, and implementing enhancements to ensure reliable data flows and alignment with business needs. Responsibilities include developing integrations using Workday tools such as EIB, Core Connectors, and Studio; monitoring runs, identifying upstream/downstream data impacts, maintaining technical documentation, and providing day-to-day support. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable integration solutions and stays current on Workday features and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Business Management, Finance, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
- 2-4 years of experience with Workday integrations including EIB, Core Connectors, and/or Studio
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Workday business objects, business processes, and web services
- Ability to follow and understand end-to-end data flow across systems with guidance
- Familiarity with XML, XSLT, and Workday Web Services (WWS)
- Exposure to REST and/or SOAP-based APIs
- Foundational understanding of one or more Workday HCM modules (e.g., Core HCM, Benefits, Payroll, Recruiting)
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical team members
- Demonstrates curiosity and asks clarifying questions to understand business context, not just technical requirements
