Job Summary
Design, configure, and maintain Workday business processes, condition rules, calculated fields, security, and tenant configurations to support evolving business needs. Serve as a subject matter expert providing consultation to stakeholders on Workday functionality and process design. Lead configuration, testing, validation, and deployment activities for enhancements and module implementations, while resolving escalated issues from the Support Team. Create and maintain HR reports and dashboards, perform data audits for integrity, and document system workflows. Partner with HR and IT teams to gather requirements for system updates. This role reports to the Director of HR Technology and requires direct Workday configuration expertise, including Payroll experience for Canada.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with Workday in an analyst and/or configuration role as a full time worker at a large organization that uses Workday
- Hands-on Workday configuration experience in one or more functional areas including Absence, Time Tracking, and Payroll
- Experience configuring and maintaining business processes, condition rules, notifications, reports, calculated fields, and security
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into system solutions
- Experience supporting large-scale Workday environments with multiple stakeholder groups
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple concurrent projects, enhancements, and production support activities
- Work with external vendors or consultants as needed to resolve technical issues or support projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to handle various tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to explain technical information clearly to non-technical users
- Proficiency with Excel and reporting tools for data analysis
- Collaborative and customer-focused approach to working with HR teams, IT, and vendors
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred or equivalent experience
