Workcell Manufacturing Manager (Mon-Fri. 3pm-11:30pm)

Job Summary
Recruit, interview, and hire Manufacturing Supervisors and Group Leads while coaching them on interviewing and hiring processes. Monitor team turnover, identify improvement factors, and manage succession plans for leadership roles. Establish measurable goals, solicit feedback, and conduct professional evaluations to drive continuous improvement in operational metrics. Define and implement manufacturing strategies aligned with campus directions, report best practices to peers, and identify cost-reduction opportunities through process streamlining. Drive continuous improvement via trend analysis, ensure adherence to health and safety policies, and "walk the talk" by getting down in the trenches to rehabilitate troubled workcells. Lead by example during product launches and crises, fostering a "back to basics" mentality.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of people mgmt.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret and communicate regarding common scientific and/or technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
- Ability to effectively present information to top management and public groups
- Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil's software packages
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Reasonable skills in Excel, Power point and word
- Ability to create and understand spread sheets with filters, Pivot table and medium complexity charts
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to work effectively under pressure with constantly changing priorities and deadlines
- Ability to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-15 lbs
- Specific vision requirements include reading of written documents and use of computer monitor screen frequently
- Ability to adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor
- Ability to comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy
- Take ownership of relevant manufacturing pieces of JOS tools like QRQC & LPA as applicable to workcell
- Monday-Friday, 3pm-11:30pm (2nd shift)
