Workamper - Resort Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Conduct routine and preventative maintenance on resort facilities, rental homes, and streets while performing minor emergency repairs for electrical, plumbing, sewage, and construction. Inspect irrigation systems, playgrounds, pools, and recreational amenities daily to ensure safety and curb appeal, then report identified issues to the manager. Manage lawn care services including weed treatment, mulching, and snow removal, while maintaining resort vehicles and equipment. Clean common areas, trash containers, and amenities such as clubhouses and restrooms. Complete physical condition checklists before and after guest occupancy and assist the Resort Manager with contractor supervision. Operate hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery while following safety procedures and responding to non-business hours needs.
Required Qualifications
- Must have your own RV
- Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to provide legible written reports
- Proficient skills in operating various hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery
- General knowledge of janitorial work, plumbing, electrical, and grounds maintenance
- Demonstrated knowledge of and broad experience in general maintenance techniques and repair work
- Ability to respond to resort needs during non-business hours while on-call
- Regularly required to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time
- Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Variable scheduling availability from Thursday - Monday
- Island Hospitality is unable to guarantee a specific number of work hours per week
- Island Hospitality uses E-Verify to confirm work authorization
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months previous maintenance experience in a campground or RV resort is preferred
- Pool Operational Experience preferred
