Job Summary
Generate clinically optimal treatment plans for radiation therapy patients by collaborating with radiation oncologists, technologists, and medical physicists. Perform rigid and deformable image registration, contour critical structures, and apply radiation physics principles for IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, and brachytherapy planning. Assist in CT simulation, fabrication of ancillary treatment devices, and patient-specific radiation measurements using diodes, OSLDs, and ion chambers. Participate in quality assurance, charge capture, and clinical research while maintaining high ethical standards and patient safety.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) or board eligibility
- Board eligibility
- Board certification
- CPR certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Certified Dosimetrist certification
- Solid/Strong overall performance rating in annual performance reviews
- Demonstrated expertise in radiation treatment planning for simple and complex scenarios
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Completion of a Medical Dosimetry educational program accredited by the Joint review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)
- Board certification within two attempts in the first two consecutive years of employment
