Job Summary
Lead assigned work transfer projects from initiation through qualification, implementation, and production stabilization. Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and risk mitigation strategies while coordinating supplier-to-supplier and site-to-site manufacturing transfers to maintain supply continuity. Serve as the primary cross-functional coordinator between Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Procurement to manage timelines, drive accountability, and ensure technical, configuration, and quality requirements are met. Identify and proactively mitigate risks impacting schedule, cost, or delivery, while monitoring performance and providing status updates to stakeholders. Support First Article Inspection, validation, and production ramp-up activities, ensuring full compliance with customer requirements and AS9100 standards. Travel approximately 30% to supplier and Ontic locations as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline
- 3 to 7 years of experience in project management, supply chain, manufacturing engineering, sourcing, industrialization, work transfer, or a related manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, cross-functional projects involving suppliers, Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain organizations
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, industrialization, and supplier qualification activities
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, bills of material, and manufacturing documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify project risks and develop effective mitigation and recovery plans
- Experience tracking project schedules, milestones, key performance indicators, and status reporting
- Familiarity with ERP systems and project management tools used to manage schedules, inventory, and implementation activities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of configuration management, document control, and change management processes
- Understanding of AS9100 quality systems and applicable Aerospace and Defense regulatory requirements, including ITAR/EAR
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and coordinate stakeholders across a global matrix organization
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 30%
- Must currently reside in an Ontic-approved registered state listed within this posting for remote consideration
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 to meet export control compliance requirements
