Job Summary
Manage the English Department's Instagram account by curating followers, engaging professionally with university and external accounts, and creating 2-3 posts or stories weekly. Attend events such as English Club meetings, film screenings, and guest lectures to generate content, while advertising faculty accolades, publications, and courses. Coordinate weekly work with Dr. Wren and maintain a weekly timesheet. Research and hone social media engagement skills to support the department and university community.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled as a student at McMurry University
- Pursuing either a Bachelor's Degree or Minor in the English Department
- Be classified as either a Junior or Senior student
- Good academic standing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic social media proficiency
- Ability to maintain professionalism
- Reliable and detail-oriented
