Job Summary
Vehicle Technician to perform maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and fleet upgrades on autonomous vehicles; configure and sign off vehicles for safe on-road operation; troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems; maintain detailed service records and quality reports; collaborate with engineering teams to resolve complex vehicle issues; assist with parts inventory and shop organization. Full-time contract role based in San Francisco, CA requiring 2+ years of automotive technician experience, valid driver’s license, forklift certification, and strong teamwork and communication skills. Preferred experience includes CAN bus systems, wiring diagrams, soldering, EV/battery/engineering environments, and an Automotive trade school certificate or Associate Degree.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of automotive technician experience
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair procedures, and diagnostics
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Forklift certification (Cal/OSHA compliant) required
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Preferred Experience: CAN bus systems, Reading wiring diagrams, Soldering and electrical troubleshooting, EV battery or engineering environments, Automotive trade school certificate or Associate Degree
